As it relates to the criterion location of power, how would you like the new nation to distribute power geographically? Why? What would be the next best choice? Which option do you absolutely refuse to have? Why?

As a nation I believe the best choice for location of power would have to be confederal system. This would work best for our nation because in our country we have homesteads. Having the homesteads divides the people up and working for a common goal would help people remember we are all one nation united. Also, we would employ one person from every homestead to get a better voice for our country. The second best choice for our country would have to be the federal system. This system would also work well because we would still be able to have one representative from each homestead. The worst possible location of power would have to be the unitary system because since we have so many different homesteads we want everyone to be heard and only having a national government cannot help us complete these goals.

As it relates to the criterion participation, who will be allowed to participate in the new government? How will they be allowed to participate? Which system would be ideal for your region? Why? Is there a system that you will not tolerate? Why?

What would be the ideal structure of the new national government's executive branch? How will this structure benefit your region?

What we want for our executive branch if for one Dabian from each homestead to represent the exective branch. Also, we would like to have a meritocracy. This means that we would want the best herbalist or miner to come forth and run Dabi. We think that this would be the best decesion to make for our region since we have a strong leader to run our community. This structure will benefit this region because our executive will know about the medicine created by the plants. We want a strong leader for our goverment and a good one as well that can relate to our Dabians.

Would the regions be left to enforce and execute the new nation's laws or would you have a national police force and departments for such matters?

The regions would enforce and execute the new nation's laws using their own executive system they already have. This would make it much easier because a national police wouldn't have to be formed. It would also be easier to enforce laws in your region rather than trying to enforce laws in more than just one region.

What would be the ideal structure of the new national government's legislative branch? How will the regions be represented (equally or on the basis of regional population)? How will this structure benefit your region?

The ideal structure of government for our nation would have to be a parliamentary system. The regions would be represented by having one representative from each homestead to represent them. This structure will help our region because we would all be coming together to get things done on a equal platform and we will be able to agree and disagree with our leaders. Also if the country does not agree with the leader we can boot him out of office.

What would be the ideal relationship between the executive and legilsative branches of the new national government? How will this system benefit your region?

What would be the ideal structure of the new national government's judicial branch? How does someone come to be a member of the judicial branch? What if someone from your region is accused of a crime in another region? Would a regional or national institution determine his or her guilt?

Our ideal structure for our national goverment is a meritcracy. A person becomes a memeber of the judical branch if the people like or don't like a certain person more than another. If someone is accused of a crime in another region and is running for the judical branch, we will either throw him out of Dabi or, depending on how bad the situtation is, we will let it slide and not press charges against him. If the national or regional detemines guilt against the person who did the crime, they would either look at the laws of Dabi and see how bad he or she has broken them or they will just let it slide once again.

Are there freedoms/rights that you would like the new nation to guarantee to all of its citizens? Which ones?

We, the Dabi, believe that all people should have freedoms and rights. Some Dabians would make sure the new nation guarantees all citizens they can mine, own land, be able to farm, and have freedom of religion and beliefs. The last freedom is very important to us since religion is a big part of us and everyone should be allowed to believe what they want like we believe in the spirits of the godswood for example.

What will be the source of authority for the new unified government?

Dabi has chosen that our country we will have the traditional authority because it will work best for our people. Our country needs something based on history, myth, and religious text considering our belief in the gods above and our rich history.

If unification were to occur, who do you envision controlling these resources, the individual, the region, or the new national government?

What would unification do for your region? List five items. Think about why you are unifying. What goods and services could a larger country provide that your region cannot? How do you suggest the new government get the funds to supply the country with these goods and services?

What unification would do for our region is we could make peace with the Lakali. Also to tell the Madawa that we want to keep our mountains, make peace with the Lakali and Madawa, to also share the mountain chain with Madwa. Lastly, to have access to Bora but first we would need to make peace with them. If all of the regions we could have all our resources that each seperate region has. Our goverment could supply our copper, tin, bronze, coal, iron. We would each have our specialties that each indiviual region has, but put it together.

What would you be willing to give up in exchange for unification? Consider your groups values, institutions of government, and liberties. Would you be willing to limit your ability to make, enforce and interpret laws for your region? What about your region's natural resources? Would you be willing to allow the new national government to own, control and distribute any of your region's natural resources?

We would be willing to share our iron, coal, bronze, copper and tin, if other regions are willing to share their own special resources. The Dabi people would also be willing to limit our ability to govern, but we would be able to still have a say in the national government. We would only allow the new national government to own, control and distribute our regions national resources if one of our own Dabian could be a part of the national government. This way they would make sure to use what is ours wisely.

What do you NOT want to give up in exchange for unification?

Dabians does not feel comfortable with giving up our rights to have religion. We want to be able to pass down to our grandchildren what we believe in. The gods and the godswood are things we could not live without and our country depends upon on a regular basis. I don’t know how we would be able to function without these necessities.

How do your people believe that other groups might affect the negotiation process? Have at least one idea for each region.
